WSOP Circuit 2017-18 Schedule Now Released

WSOP Circuit 2017-18 Schedule Now ReleasedThis week, the WSOP Circuit released the schedule for its 2017-18 season, and reflecting its enormous popularity there are to be a record 26 stops on next year’s tour, with the three extra destinations added including two at the Thunder Valley Casino in Northern California, and another at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel in Hollywood.
The WSOP Circuit launched back in 2005, and unlike WSOP events which typically cost between $1,500 and $10,000 to enter and hand out gold bracelets, WSOP Circuit events usually fall within the $150 to $1,675 buy-in range, and award their winners gold rings. Now into its 13th season, the 2017-18 tour will subsequently kick-off on August 2nd at the Harrah’s Cherokee in North Carolina, before wrapping up in May at Harrah’s New Orleans in Louisiana. Commenting on the continued success the WSOP Circuit has enjoyed for more than a decade, WSOP Executive Director Ty Stewart, explained:
“We are very proud of what the WSOP Circuit has become and how it has performed for our partner casinos who have come aboard. Players know they get a consistent structure and schedule at each stop, plus the opportunity to win big prizes as well as their seat into the million-dollar free-roll with a WSOP gold bracelet up for grabs.”
Counted amongst the tour’s highlight over its impressive run is a charismatic Jean-Robert Bellande reaching the televised final table of the 2005 WSOPC Rio Las Vegas, eventually finishing in 3rd place for a $210,900 payday. Despite is generally lower buy-ins, the tour has also proved popular among many top pros, with those who have amassed multiple rings over the years including Ari Engel (8), Men “the Master” Nguyen (4), Chris Ferguson (3), and Daniel Negreanu (1). The record, however, is held by Maurice Hawkins, with a massive 10 gold rings, while Alexandru Masek, and Valentin Vornicu are close behind, and both tied with 9 gold rings a piece.
