Ricki Lake Reaches The Final Of Californian State Poker Championship

American actress and television personality Ricki Lake is delighted to have progressed to the finals of the Commerce Casino’s Cal State Poker Championship, and is now planning on going all out for victory.
As the Tournament Director, Matt Savage explains: “Ricki is very excited about making the final 72 players and she doesn’t plan to stop there. Her goal is to take down the first place prize of more than $125,000.”
Despite the premiere event having an impressive $611,800 prize pool, the money will certainly be of only secondary importance to the multi-millionaire Emmy nominated talk show host. Ricki Pamela Lake is a regular at the World Poker Tour Celebrity Invitational held annualy at the Commerce, and is now aiming to spectacularly present her poker credentials to the rest of the celebrity poker world.
The California State Poker Championship is a 22-tournament event with buy-ins ranging from $120 to the $3,085-buy Main Event famously won by actor Ben Affleck on Jun 21, 2004.
The opening event got underway on Wednesday, May 5  when 2,100 players entered the $220 no-limit hold’em tournament, hoping to make it through all five days to the final table. Now with just 72 players left Ricki Lake is hoping to make her mark on the event, and show her range of talents, which include movie actress, television personality and film producer extend even to the poker world.
News Update: Ricki Lake has just finished the event in a respectable 50th place, and picked up $1,500 for her deep run in the tournament.
