Online Poker History Made As Massive $2.28m Tournament Won By Tyson Marks

Online poker history was made this week after the largest ever pay-out for an online tournament worth $2,278,097 was won by a poker pro from Montana.
Tyson ‘potterpoker’ Marks took down the PokerStars $5,200 WCOOP Main Event, after defeating a field of 2,443 over two days to win the staggering sum.
By the second day of the competition 271 hopefuls returned for a shot at the title which was further whittled down to a final table of nine later that day.
Despite being a short stack with just 27 players remaining Tyson ‘potterpoker’ Marks then hit a purple patch to take a 3 to 1 chip lead over his nearest rival onto the final table. As he explains:
“When I reached the final table it was weird because I felt so much more comfortable than when I was chip leader with like 13 left… there’s just something about final tables where I feel at home, like “it’s go time now” and all the butterflies were gone and the only thing on my mind was $2.2million!”
After dispatching the first two players from the final table, the rest of the table fell in quick succession before Marks eventually took a 5 to 1 chip lead into the heads-up phase against joeysweetp.
The decisive hand was then played after ‘potterpoker’ was dealt an Ah-4h and made the nut flush on a Jh-8c-2h-Kh-10d board to relegate his opponent to the runner-up position, also worth an impressive $1,404,725.
Meanwhile, the title of World Championship of Online Poker (WCOOP)  Main Event Winner and the $2,278,097 top prize went to Tyson ‘potterpoker’ Marks. Commenting on his amazing win, Marks said:
“Being able to say: “I’m online poker world champion” is something that still doesn’t feel real to say… I don’t feel like it’s going to change who i am at all. I have an amazing girl and friends and family who are amazing….this money is really just gravy.”
