Kyle Bowker Triumphs At 2014 WSOPC Harrah's Philadelphia Kyle Bowker has won the 2014 World Series of Poker Circuit Harrah’s Philadelphia Main Event, after besting a field of 328 players over three days on his way to capturing a gold ring, and collecting the $115,920 top prize.
The $1,675 Main Event was held at Harrah’s Philadelphia Casino & Racetrack in Pennsylvania, and managed to  create a prize pool worth $504,000. Amongst the notable pros then cashing in at the event was Keven Stammen in 32nd ($2,903), Sean Jazayeri in 22nd ($4,324), Dennis Phillips in 21st ($5,065), Roland Israelashvili in 18th ($6,013), and Matt Stout in 13th ($7,232).
By the time the final table of nine had been reached, Joe Kuether was the chip leader on a 1.8m stack, followed by Thomas Cannuli, David Bivens, Justin Liberto, Anthony Minniti, Antonio Payne, Tim West, Kevin Saul. Languishing at the bottom, however, was Kyle Bowker with just 13 big blinds.
On the first hand Bowker then doubled up before being dealt A-A and eliminating Anthony Minniti (K-K) in 9th for $10,896. Bowker (10-10) then followed up by doing likewise to Thomas Cannuli (7-7) in 8th for $13,648.
Next, Justin Liberto (A-K) dispatched Kevin Saul (A-10) to the rail in 5th ($29,212), before being dealt pocket Jacks and eliminating Joe Kuether (A-K) in 3rd ($52,280) to force heads-up play against Kyle Bowker for the title.
As the final battle got underway the two players were fairly even in chips. However, 30 minutes was all it would take before the defining hand was played with Bowker (9-5) and Liberto (10-8) all-in on a J-9-6 flop. The dealer subsequently put out a 9 and 5 on turn and river to consign Justin Liberto to a runner-up finish worth $71,664, while Kyle Bowker was crowned the champion.
