Isildur1 Wins SCOOP Event #2 For $247,200

Isildur1 Wins SCOOP Event #2 For $247,200Viktor “Isildur1” Blom has won PokerStars SCOOP Event #2, after overcoming a huge field of 8,240 players over two days on his way to taking down the title, and collecting the $247,200 first place prize.
Known mostly as an online cash game player, earlier this year the 21 year old Swede showed he was equally at home on a tournament table after taking down the PokerStars Caribbean Adventure Super High Roller for $1,254,400. Now Isildur1 has managed to do the same online as part of PokerStars annual tournament series known as the Spring Championship of Online Poker (SCOOP).
Day 1 of SCOOP Event #2-M $215 NLHE freezeout, saw Isildur1 finish in the top 16 and the following day when the final table of nine had been reached, the Team PokerStars Pro held the chip lead with Denmark’s Fred_Brink close behind in second place.
Eventually, with four players remaining, the two players got into a pre-flop raising war resulting in Blom being all-in and badly dominated holding A-Q to the A-K of Fred_Brink. Nevertheless, luck was on Isildur1’s side as the flop came down Q-7-Q and soon after the Dane was out in 4th but $87,344 better off.
With half the chips in play, Isildur1 (8-7) then picked-off a 3-bet bluff shove by Szwindel (Q-J) on an 8-4-3 flop to go heads-up against Canada’s RaisingRay91. At this stage, Isildur1 held a massive 4 to 1 chip advantage and five hands is all it took to seal the Swede’s victory.
On the final hand, RaisingRay91 (Kh-8h) four-bet shoved preflop into Isildur1’s A-J who made the call. After both players failed to connect on a Q-2-Q-10-6 board, Blom sealed his win with ace high to take the huge $247,200 first place prize.
