September 2, 2013 12:14 pmGerman poker player Soenke Jahn has won the Estrellas Barcelona Main Event, after besting a field of 1,798 players on his way to capturing the title, and collecting a €181,136 first place prize.
The €1,000 buy-in tournament was the largest live event ever hosted by PokerStars and if not for a deal struck between the four remaining players, the eventual winner would have collected €298,600 for his victory.
By the time the final table of eight had been reached, Paul vas Nunes was way ahead as chip leader on a 14.47m stack, followed by Paul Cusi (6.76m), and Jahn Soenke (6m).
