Global Poker Index And Ivey Poker Team-UpJuly 31, 2014 2:17 pm
IveyPoker has just announced a strategic partnership deal with the Global Poker Index (GPI) designed to promote its players and the poker industry as a whole throughout the world. The arrangement aims to take advantage of the synergy which exist between the two brands, with the GPI and its other partner The Hendon Mob considered the foremost authority on live tournament results and poker player profiles, while IveyPoker is a specialized training website owned by 10-time WSOP champion Phil Ivey, and home to some of the best established pros in the world. Following announcement of the deal, Ivey, said:
“We look forward to working with the Global Poker Index as they are a leader in promoting poker as a sport/skill game. Our goal is to provide the tools necessary to increase the skill level of every poker player and to win.”
Poker enthusiasts now stand to benefit from a number of great opportunities as the two businesses start cross promoting their brands, such as regular Q&A sessions on The Hendon Mob Forum involving such Ivey League talented coaches as Patrik Antonius, Cole South, and Jennifer Harman. Current world number one, Dan Smith, is also a part of the team with the top pro having earned $8,584,563 from tournaments since 2008, almost $3 million of which has been earned in 2014 alone.
Other promotions available to IveyPoker subscribers include discounts and special access for all 100,000+ players using the GPI Fantasy Poker Manager app.
The strategic partnership deal comes less than a week after GPI CEO Alex Dreyfus hinted of some interesting developments to come, and commenting on the significance of the new arrangement, explained: “We are elated to be working with the biggest name in the game of poker. We hope that this team will further highlight the game of poker and promote its players.”
Initially slow to get off the ground following its 2013 launch, IveyLeague.com’s latest effort to promote the game of poker to a worldwide audience should now see it benefit from an increase in traffic and subscriptions to the site.
