Viktor "Isildur1" Blom Loses $433,314 Since Joining PokerStarsSince joining PokerStars on December 7th, 2010,   Viktor “Isildur1” Blom  has continued having difficulty finding any traction at his new home and is currently stuck around -$433,314 according to tracking site pokertableratings.

The series of mini-challenges arranged by PokerStars and known as the Superstar Showdown has proven a popular attraction for the site, as well as being a profitable venture for the Showdown’s main protagonist Viktor “Isildur1″ Blom.

Thus far, Isildur1 has battled various tough opponents over 2,500 hands of mostly $50/$100 no-limit hold’em and has won four out of five contests for a $166,075 profit.

However, Blom’s other cash adventures at PokerStars have been a little less straight forward and his trademark swings have continued to dictate the action.

According to PTR statistics, Isildur1 won around $324,000 on his debut day at the world’s biggest poker room, before hitting a trough of $652,000 on January 29th. Since then Isildur1 managed to turn things around once more to go $537,000 in the black by 28th February before then plummeting to his current -$433,314 balance.

Contributing to his most recent upswing was a victory over Scott Palmer for $1.15 million during the first week of March before the wheel fell off his rampage once more.  Isildur1 then proceeded to lose $800,000 to gavz101 and compris that week, and the following week topped the biggest losers online after dropping a further $413,392.

Currently in the red by -$433,314, Viktor “Isildur1″ Blom has stayed away from the cash tables this week as he gathers himself for part 1 of his much touted SuperStar Challenge against Daniel Negreanu.

There’s no disputing the skill or courage of the Team PokerStars Pro, who continues to gamble above his bankroll. After All, it was Isildur1′s daring in 2009 which saw him accumulate $6 million profits at Full Tilt, largely at the expense of two of the games top players, Patrik Antonius and Tom Dwan.

However, Blom has a tendency to over reach at times, which saw him next challenging Phil Ivey at three tables of heads up $500/$1,000 NL before dropping $3.2 million to Ivey over the period of just a week.

Nonetheless, Viktor “Isildur1″ Blom continues to draw railbirds everywhere to his home at PokerStars and having the umbrella of a sponsorship deal with the site should help the 20 year-old to mature and improve as a professional.

I feel so sorry for him. I can’t imagine that he is happy.
He lost his home (tax trouble with the Swedish state) and now he is exploited by PS and a target of the whole poker-circus. Nobody saves him from himself.
OK, he is not a kid anymore, but also he is still not really an adult.
I just hope he is intelligent enough to keep 1M as assets of the last resort in case he runs deeper into minus.

You would think, surely he’s smart enough to put back(invest smartly) a wad that would be enough to keep him a comfy life it all fell apart tomorrow. I would. But, he is a 20 yr old w/out much life experience. Judging by how he always plays above his roll (they say) kind of shows, maybe some reckless tendencies w/$$$. Oh well, let’s just hope we all get half lucky as he is & have just 1 run in our lives that’s on par w/some of his…I would be happy w/it…Damn, these little, smart ass, snot nosed (albeit lucky & good) young ass on-line poker players. Wish I would’ve had someone around when I was growing up to teach me the game’s ins & outs. just imagine how good we would’ve been if we would’ve started young like Ivey & applied ourselves…

Mmm, what could’ve been…lol
