Vanessa Rousso And Melissa Ouellet To Tie The Knot

Vanessa Rousso And Melissa Ouellet To Tie The KnotVanessa Rousso may not have won “Big Brother 17,” but she still had plenty to celebrate after her girlfriend Melissa Ouellet proposed to her just before the show’s wrap party on Thursday. They both presented a picture of happiness as Vanessa showed off her diamond ring, and they posed for the cameras, and as the 32-year-old pro told the gathered crowd at the time:
“The last 48 hours have been insane…the best part, for me, was today when in my hotel room my beautiful, amazing girlfriend surprised me and said she was gonna put a ring on it.”
Before Vanessa Rousso left for the Big Brother household, the couple were inseparable and spent “24/7 together”, making their four months apart particularly challenging. Even on set, Vanessa would often talk about how she missed Melissa to he other contestants, and would sometimes kiss her ring on camera, which was a secret ‘I love you’ message to her live-in girlfriend back home. Likewise, Melissa said that is was especially painful watching Vanessa frequently reduced to tears on the show without being able to lend her the support and comfort she needed. Nevertheless, Vanessa was keen to highlight that most of her tears was because she “felt bad for other people.”
Vanessa Rousso has earned $3,530,832 throughout her live tournament career, making her the fifth most successful female poke player in the game. She also hold dual US and French citizenship, and was previously married to fellow poker player Chad Brown from 2009 to 2012. The couple remained close after their separation, and she helped host the Chad Brown Memorial and Charity Poker Tournament following his death from cancer in 2014. Following her recent exit from Big Brother in third place, leaving her one short of the money, Vanessa Selbst, the women’s number one highest earner, and an openly gay poker player, tweeted:
“Wow so brutal, gg @VanessaRousso. Such a beautifully played game. #BB17. Way to represent for queer poker-playing Vanessas across the world!”
