Ultimate Porn Star Samantha Ryan Signs With UltimateBet

As is traditional around this time of the year, the poker sites have been in full swing signing celebrities and new pros to their sites, in order to capitalise on the extra exposure time afforded by the World Series of Poker.
UltimateBet, whose team includes Annie Duke, Tiffany Michelle, and Liv Boeree, have just announced a new glamorous female addition to their site, this time under the guise of pornographic actress Samantha Ryan.
Samantha was 26 years old when she appeared in her first adult film in 2004, and has since gone on to enjoy a successful career in the industry, having been nominated for several AVN (Adult Video News) awards including Best Group Sex Scene in ‘Butt Pirates of the Caribbean’ in 2007. She also directed the film ‘Sorority Sluts: Iota Eta Pi’ that same year.
Samantha Ryan is now hoping to make a different kind of splash, this time as a sponsored poker pro at UltimateBet. In what would appear to be a limited sponsorship deal, Ryan will be sponsored to play in several events at this year’s WSOP and, as she explains:
“I will be sponsored in five events. I just got my UB patches. I’ll put a patch on my clothes and I’ll be wearing different UB gear throughout the tournament. It’s cool because a lot of my fans are going to play in the World Series.”
The porn star said she was delighted to be taking part in the prestigious tournament under the UltimateBet banner, and said she would now do her utmost to try and win a life changing amount of money of a few hundred thousand dollars.
We wish Samantha Ryan good luck at WSOP 2010, but in the meantime she will have her work cut out as she will be competing against some of the top poker players in the world. Samantha started playing poker online four years ago and said:
“I final-tabled a couple times in events with over 1,000 people. There is an element of luck, especially in the World Series. The events I’m playing in are going to be three to five days with fields of 3,000 to 5,000 players. I’ll be playing poker from noon until midnight every day that I’m playing as long as I’m still in it.”
