Sam Trickett Becomes Partypoker Ambassador

In October, Jackie Glazier became a partypoker brand ambassador, and just over one month later the Australian all time women’s tournament earner has been joined on the roster by the United Kingdom’s top money earner, Sam Trickett.
As a result, partypoker now boasts an impressive line up of sponsored pros, including the likes of Poker Hall of Famer Mike Sexton, Roberto Romanello, and Tony Dunst, and following his appointment, the 30 year-old English pro commented in a press release:
“I am proud to be joining the expanding partypoker team and represent the brand globally. partypoker was always my first site and I am excited about the direction the company is taking, with the players and a fun feel at the forefront of their minds.”
Sam Trickett cashed in his first live tournament back in 2007, and since then he has gone on to amass a whopping $20,591,180 in winnings, placing him at number 8 on poker’s ‘All Time Money List’. In 2011, Trickett then won a total of $4,598,038, including taking down the $100k Aussie Millions Poker Championship for US$1,508,258, and the €8,500 Partouche Poker Tour for €1 million ($1,364,666).
2012 then proved even more impressive for Trickett, who earned $11,166,187 that year, helped not least by a runner-up finish at the $1 million The Big One for One Drop event for an incredible $10,112,001.
Although Trickett seems to have been less active on the tournament circuit over the past two years, he says he is now looking forward to getting back into the action sporting his new sponsor’s patch, as well as playing at partypoker’s online tables. Commenting on their new ambassador, Tom Waters, Group Head of partypoker, stated:
“It is testament to the recent success of partypoker that such a renowned player like Sam was eager to join the team. Sam will be a great addition to partypoker, hosting new and exciting high stakes cash games on the site, that I’m sure will make great viewing for the players.”
