Phil Hellmuth's "Poker Brat TV" Booming

Phil Hellmuth's "Poker Brat TV" BoomingOn Saturday, August 8th, WSOP legend Phil Hellmuth launched his first ever Twitch.tv channel, “Poker Brat TV“, following in the footsteps of other popular poker streamers, such as Jason Somerville, Jaime Staples, Daniel Negreanu and Bertrand Grospellier. PokerStars is obviously still shut out of the US iPoker market, and so the 14-times WSOP bracelet winner has been visiting PlayPineapple.com and playing Open Face Chinese poker on the channel ever day, instead.
Furthermore, while Hellmuth has enjoyed playing at stakes as high as $100 a point against such opponents as cash game specialist Brian Hastings, and investor Bill Lee, thousands of viewers have been tuning in to see the “Poker Brat” in action. However, its not just the game which has captured their attention, but Hellmuth’s naturally entertaining ways as he chats, interacts, and shares his many stories from decades spent in the poker world.
In fact, so far Hellmuth’s channel is showing 6,595 followers, and 128,346 total views, which is impressive considering the short amount of days he has been streaming his games. Obviously he has a long way to go before reaching the sort of numbers attracted by longer-running streamers, such as Jason “jcarver” Somerville (followers 7,489,311), Jaime Staples (2,152,103), or even Daniel Negreanu (724,455), but if he continues using the platform he could soon catch them up.
During his latest stream, Hellmuth took time to call Liv Boeree via FaceTime, but inadvertently revealed her mobile phone number to his thousands of viewers. Naturally chaos ensued, but all was forgiven as the 2010 EPT San Remo champion returned to “Poker Brat TV” later to take part in a three-way conversation with Hellmuth and Daniel Negreanu.
Meanwhile, as Belgium poker pro Tim Cogneau tweeted re Hellmuth’s Twitch.tv stream: “Watching @phil_hellmuth playing OFC is gold! #FantasyLand”
