Jackie Glazier No Longer An 888Poker Ambassador

Jackie Glazier signed with 888Poker back in August 2014, but after three years of service has now announced her departure from the world’s second biggest poker site. As the Australian pro tweeted at the start of this week:
“Thanks @888poker it was filled with amazing times! Wish the company and all the team every success in the future xx. I want to thank @888poker @jenvonstrohe @GazTheWolf @Dozdozy for signing me 3yrs ago. Great memories and so many fun times xx.”
Glazier originally joined 888Poker on a career high, having amassed $1,188,451 playing live tournaments, with her results at the time including a runner-up finish at the 2012 WSOP $3k NLHE event for $458,996, and a ‘Last Women Standing’ finish at the 2013 WSOP Main Event (31st) for $229,281.
Almost immediately after starting her tenure at 888Poker, Glazier subsequently won a winner’s bracelet at the 2014 WSOP Europe €1k NLHE Ladies Event for €21,850 ($29,534), but her results have since been less than stellar, having notched up a total of $135,042 during her time as an ambassador at the site. Discussing the challenges of being a professional poker player, Glazier expressed frustration and disappointment as to her results over the past couple of years, and stated:
“I have put in more work than ever, and that makes it even harder to take. I did a lot of training and spent a lot of time on forums but wasn’t getting the results.. It’s hard not to get a little bit jaded in poker because you can’t control the results. The past two years have been a little hard on me emotionally and mentality.. After 7-8 years of playing professionally, I needed some time out.”
As a result, Glazier said that she would not be attending this year’s WSOP currently underway in Las Vegas, and will instead be concentrating on helping to promote the game back in her native Australia, as well as trying to encourage more females players to take up the game.
