Ilari Sahamies $2.2 Million In Profit To Top 2011 PokerStars Leaderboard

Ilari Sahamies $2.2 Million In Profit To Top 2011 PokerStars Leaderboard Ilari “Ilari_FIN” Sahamies’ incredible run has continued online and he now tops PokerStars’ cash poker leader board with $2,241,134 in profit for the year so far.
The 27 year-old Finnish pro’s achievement is all the more impressive when you consider that in June he was stuck a whopping $873,000 on the site before managing to reverse his fortunes with his now $3 million upswing.
Recently, Ilari Sahamies has benefited from the return of the $200/$400 PLO 6-Max games at PokerStars which rarely run on the site. Taking advantage of Tuesday night’s action in which two tables were playing, Ilari “Ilari_FIN” Sahamies took a seat at both virtual felts alongside such players as GARFIELD25, Vaga_Lion, Jens “Jeans89” Kyllonen and 1-ronnyr3.
Despite losing $120,000 on one table, Ilari Sahamies won $535,373 on the other to end the night with a $426k profit. He even scooped the biggest pot of the night worth $266k against Peter “GARFIELD25” Chen, who eventually finished the session down a staggering $537k.
With Tuesday’s massive haul, Ilari “Ilari_FIN” Sahamies has now overtaken Israeli prodigy Rafi “refaelamit” Amit as the chief earner on the site. Amit only started playing at PokerStars in January but has lead the way the past few months with around $1,854,380 in winnings.
Also making the high-stakes PLO headlines this week is the appearance of mystery player “Fake Love888,” who is heavily suspected to be none other than Patrik Antonius.
While Ilari Sahamies was helping himself to his opponents’ bankrolls, “Fake Love888,” too, was doing likewise and actually finished the biggest winner on the night with a $418k profit. Fake Love888’s winnings came from playing a combination of both the $100/$200 and $200/$400 PLO games.
