He's On Fire, He's Steve O'Dwyer!

Steve O’Dwyer is like a runaway juggernaut these days, steam rolling any competition that stands in the way between him and yet another seven-figure score. Last year, the US pro reached an impressive 10 final tables and captured 4 titles along the way, netting him more than $4.5 million in winnings.
Continuing his assault on the high stakes tournament scene, Steve O’Dwyer has already started 2016 in a similarly amazing fashion and has now won two of the four final tables he has made this year, adding another $2,820,030 to his burgeoning bankroll. As a result, the 33 year-old currently sits at number 14 on poker’s ‘All Time Money List’ with $14,934,543 in winnings, with his list of accolades including 1 WPT, and 2 EPT titles.
O’Dwyer’s latest triumphs came at the Aussie Millions in Melbourne, after taking down the A$250,000 Challenge for A$1,051,959 ($744,829). The high buy-in event attracted just 16 players to create prize pool worth A$3,920,000, and eventually four players would see a return on their money. Due to a four-way deal being agreed, Fabian Quoss walked away with AU$956,896 for his 4th place finish, followed by Connor Drinan in 3rd (AU$1.022 million).
On the last hand of the event, O’Dwyer (Q-10) then moved all-in on a Q-6-3-10-7 board, only to receive a call from David Peters (Q-7) with a lower two pair. David Peters subsequently had to settle for a runner-up position worth AU$889,236, while Steve O’Dwyer finished in top spot for a AU$951,960 (US$744,829) payday.
On his twitter page Steve O’Dwyer’s makes the following claim: “He is a master of mind control and interrogation, but his expertise also includes genetics, cloning, dentistry, and some cybernetics.” Judging by his current form, there are many people in the poker community that are now beginning to suspect that just maybe O’Dwyer could actually be telling the truth.
