Fight Breaks Out at Big Game in Las Vegas

Fight Breaks Out at Big Game in Las VegasAhead of the Floyd Mayweather versus Conor McGregor fight in Las Vegas on August 26th, it appears two guests at the Bellagio have been getting involved in some scrapping action of their own. The incident apparently took place during the Big Game at Bobby’s Room, and while players such as Phil Ivey and Gus Hansen were plying their skills at the renowned cash game, a fight is believed to have broken out between one of the high-stakes players and Phil Ivey’s bodyguard.
Fortunately, Jimmy Fricke was at hand to report on the incident as he was playing at a lower stakes game at the time, and catching a glimpse through the glass wall separating the special Big Game area, tweeted:
“Full on fist fight in Bobby’s room just broke out. Was over pretty quick but wow.”
Despite providing no further details on the altercation, some people across social media have attempted to shed light on what transpired, with GazzyB123 on 2+2 claiming to have seen a video of the fight in which two African-American males were facing off against one another before “the big big dude just throws him to the ground like a rag doll and the other guy gets up and just sits back down hahahaha.”
Needless to say, the fight appears to have been settled rather quickly, and one is left to hazard a guess as to the actual reason for the fight breaking out in the first place. When intense competition and big money is at stake, though, sometimes a spark is all it takes to ignite an incident. Venting a bit of frustration subsequently can help clear the air, which appears to have been what occurred in this case .
In the meantime, Gus Hansen has been keeping poker fans updated as to his progress at the Big Game, which is currently playing at stakes of $3k/$6k, and according to the Great Dane, he has been involved in a 48 hour poker marathon, albeit with a 4 hour break, and at one stage lost a $60,000 pot to Daniel Cates.
