Everest Poker Signs UK Prodigy Sam Trickett
March 11, 2014 5:48 pmEverest Poker has just announced that British poker prodigy Sam Trickett has just signed an endorsement deal to represent their online poker room as a brand ambassador.
The 27 year-old professional footballer turned poker superstar has earned a massive $19,887,049 in live poker tournaments since cashing in at his first event in 2007, and currently sits in second place on ‘Poker’s All Time Money List’. Counted amongst the young pro’s numerous victories is the 2011 Aussie Millions $100k event for $1,508,258, the 2011 Partouche Poker Tour €8,500 Main Event for €1million ($1,364,666), and the 2013 Aussie Millions $250,000 Challenge for $2,111,397. Oh yeah, and Trickett also finished runner-up at the 2012 WSOP The Big One for One Drop for a whopping $10,112,001 payday.
Incredibly, Sam Trickett is also a prolific cash game specialist and has been invited several times to Macau’s Big Game, in which he says the largest pot he ever won was an eye-watering $2.5 million. Unlike other players known for their tightness, however, the honour is reserved only for those pros willing to gamble it up, and as Trickett explains, “If you didn’t [play loose and aggressive] you wouldn’t be asked to play.”
As part of his Everest Poker ambassadorial duties, Sam Trickett will now play online at the site, attend Everest Poker Live events across the globe, and also provide regular updates via a video blog. Commenting on his new deal with Everest Poker, Trickett, said:
“I’m very excited to be joining Everest Poker. I’m looking forward to interacting with our players online and at Everest Poker Live events, where I’ll be playing and coaching. Everest is a great poker brand and I will be doing everything I can to make it one of the most recognized in the world.”
To celebrate his partnership with the site, Trickett has also agreed to donate 10% of his winnings at this year’s World Series of Poker to Everest Poker players, excluding the $1 Million Big One for One Drop.
