Dzmitry Urbanovich becomes Partypoker Sponsored Pro

Dzmitry Urbanovich becomes Partypoker Sponsored ProPoland may be in all the gambling news at the moment as international operators flee from the country’s exorbitant new tax rates, but one of the eastern European nation’s residents, Dzmitry Urbanovich, has put Poland back into a more positive gambling light after being recruited by partypoker as one of its sponsored pros.
Partypoker has been making quite a splash on the live tournament circuit of late, with John Duthie, President of partypoker LIVE, helping to drum up interest in the brand through live events featuring £1 million first place prizes, such as the one that took place recently at the Sochi Casino and Resort in March.
To help promote its new format, Partypoker has regularly been adding to its roster of sponsored pros, with Dzmitry Urbanovich the latest in a long list which includes the likes of Mike Sexton (USA), Sam Trickett (UK), Jan-Peter Jachtmann (Germany), Johnny Lodden (Norway), and Beata Jambrik (Hungary), to name but a few.
By recruiting Dzmitry Urbanovich, Partypoker has now added Poland’s all-time tournament winner to its list of poker ambassadors. According to The Hendon Mob, Urbanovich has won $5,192,138 since his first cash back in 2013, with his biggest score coming in 2015 after a runner-up finish at the €100,000 EPT Monte Carlo for €1,446,600 ($ 1,595,368). The same year, he also finished runner-up at the €50,000 EPT Barcelona for €841,500 ($949,967), and the following year booked a win at the €5,300 EPT Dublin main event for €561,900 ($632,279). Commenting on his signing with partypoker, Urbanovich stated:
“I can’t wait to join the partypoker team. I have already played partypoker Million Sochi and MILLIONS and absolutely loved the events. There are so many great partypoker LIVE events that I’ll struggle to fit them all in. I am also planning my schedule for the online $20,000,000 Powerfest that starts on May 7, which I am sure will be a great success.”
