Dusty “Leatherass” Schmidt Joins Team PokerStars Online

Dusty “Leatherass” Schmidt has just been named as the latest addition to Team PokerStars Online, and the online pro and DragTheBar.com lead instructor couldn’t be more pleased.
Commenting on his recent appointment at PokerStars, Schmidt said:
“I feel like I’ve joined the Yankees. Getting the opportunity to represent the largest poker room in the world is definitely something that makes all of the hard work feel worthwhile. I couldn’t be more honored.”
Team PokerStars Online was created late last year from an application pool comprised of over 2,000 PokerStars Supernova VIP players. Eventually, just 23 players were chosen at the time and that number has now risen to 26 with the addition of Schmidt.
Dusty said he had been busier than usual recently, writing a new poker book and playing more live poker than ever but now intends chasing SuperNova Elite status once more in 2010. Commenting on the perks, Schmidt said:
“It’s a huge deal. All of the grinders out there know they can lock up over $100,000 in income a year simply breaking dead even at the tables.”
“The benefits are amazing. Even the perks you get when you go to the WSOP as a SNE are amazing. This year we were partying at the PokerStars party as a VIP guest with Snoop Dogg.”
Dusty “Leatherass” Schmidt is mostly an online multi-tabling No-Limit Hold ‘em specialist and in a career played over 8 million hands, has managed to amass $3 million in winnings without ever suffering a losing month.
