Bryan Paris Joins $10M Online Poker Club
February 9, 2017 9:20 amBryan Paris has become the second player in history to earn $10 million playing online tournaments since UK legend Chris Moorman did so back in September of 2013. Commenting on how he has been able to achieve the impressive feat, the California resident currently living in Holland explained:
“I liken it to the all-time hits record in baseball; you don’t necessarily need the best batting average, but you have to show up to play consistently and put in a solid performance over a prolonged period.”
Over the past decade, Paris has enjoyed a number of big scores online, including finishing the 2013 World Championship of Online Poker (WCOOP) $1,050 NLHE event in 4th place for $111,792. More recently, the 31 year-old won $52k competing in the Turbo Championship of Online Poker (TCOOP), which then helped propel him closer to reaching the $10 million milestone.
Both those tournaments were PokerStars sponsored events, and over the years almost 60% of his winnings have come via the site. In fact, out of the 11,891 online tournaments that he has cashed in, 8,456 have been on PokerStars. Including his cashes on other poker rooms such as Full Tilt, 888poker, partypoker, and Winamax, Bryan Paris has won a total of 231 online tournaments outright, as well as having finished 2nd on 274 occasions, and 3rd in 253 events.
As well as playing online high stakes MTT’s, the poker coach entertains poker enthusiasts with his commentary while playing on his Twitch channel ‘bparispoker’. He is also a family man, and lives in Amsterdam with his wife Nicole, and their one month old son, Alexander.
In the meantime, Chris Moorman has continued setting the bar for his online poker rivals, and currently has $13,816,875 in online career earnings. A number of other online pros are also poised to surpass $10 million in winnings, including PokerKaiser ($9,907,946), and p0cket00 ($9,804,030).
