Boylepoker.com Welcomes Nicky Power As A Sponsored Pro

Online poker site Boylepoker.com has announced the addition of Irish poker pro Nicky Power to their small but talented poker stable which already includes Marty Smyth and Padraig Parkinson.
Nicky Power has proved himself to be a formidable tournament specialist and regularly cashes at many top events including 1st at the 2005 Irish Christmas Poker Festival, 3rd at the 2006 Irish Classic and 4th at the Annual Irish Poker Classic in 2008. His biggest win to date, however, came in 2007 where a 6th place finish at the PaddyPower Irish Open earned him $131,062.
Boylepoker is part of Boylesports, Ireland’s largest independent bookmaker, and following Power’s signing  Paul Spillane, head of poker at the site commented: “Nicky is a great asset to have. He’s a formidable poker player, a great ambassador for the game, and a fun-loving, popular guy to boot so we expect he’ll have a great impact as the latest Boylepoker pro and welcome him into the family.”
Nicky Power first started playing NLHE in 2004 after completing a Masters Degree in Accountancy as a mature student. Previously he had played seven card stud and draw poker but found a natural aptitude towards the popular poker variant and after nine months was able to quit the accounting practice where he worked.
The following year and a half Power concentrated on building his bankroll through online 6 max sit and go’s and live games and coupled with his numerous tournament cashes, the Irish poker pro hasn’t had to look back since.
Commenting on his sponsorship deal at Boylepoker, Power said: “It’s an honour to be signed to such a strong and successful team as Boylepoker. The site is well known as one of the best value and fun places to play online and I hope I can do them proud wearing the ‘lucky logo’.”
