Betsson Sponsors Arsenal FC

Malta based online gambling company Betsson has just announced it has agreed a three-year partnership deal with prestigious English Premier League club Arsenal.
Arsenal FC, nicknamed ‘the Gunners’, is one of the most successful football clubs in the world today and boasts around 200,000 paid-up members, as well as a global fan-base.
The latest deal means Betsson now becomes Arsenal’s official betting partner, with Betsson Business Solutions, the company’s B2B arm, focused on providing online, as well as in-stadia betting services for Arsenal fans. Part of the service includes the launching of the newly created brand, GunnersGaming by Betsson, which will begin operations on Saturday 20th August, 2011, at the club’s first Premier League match of the season against Liverpool.
Commenting on the deal and the Internet gaming company’s first ever foray into the world of football sponsorship, Betsson Business Solutions’ Managing Director, David Björk said:
“Betsson chose Arsenal Football Club not only because it is a huge international club with a very large fan-base, but also because its tradition of innovation matches perfectly with the ‘GunnersGaming by Betsson’ concept.  Arsenal is one of the greatest football teams in the world and we’re looking forward to enjoying a long and successful partnership together.”
Echoing Betsson’s enthusiasm for the deal, Arsenal’s head of global partnerships Vinai Venkatesham stated:
“We are delighted to be welcoming Betsson on board as an Official Partner of the Club, an experienced and trusted brand who will be delivering this innovative new venture. Through designing a range of gaming products specifically for Arsenal fans, we intend to offer our supporters a valuable and unique experience that we hope will have no rival to our supporters.”
As well as Betsson, the Premier League giant’s full roster of sponsors now include Emirates, Nike,  Carlsberg, Citroen, O2, Lucozade, EA SPORTS, Thomas Cook and Indesit.
North London football club Arsenal FC was founded in 1886 and have since gone on to win 13 League titles and 10 FA Cups. They are also the third wealthiest club in the world with a market valuation of $1.2 billion, and are the Premier League’s only side to successfully complete a whole season unbeaten.
