XL Winter Series coming to 888poker

They’re getting ready for winter at 888poker with the announcement of the XL Winter Series.

This year’s Winter Series runs from December 10 to 20 and is comprised of 34 events. The series has something for every poker budget with buy-ins ranging from $5.50 to $320. And, the big money aren’t necessarily closed to players with smaller bankrolls, as they have much cheaper satellite qualifiers.

The series gets started on Thursday, December 10 with Event 1, the $50,000 Opening Event. This event obviously has a $50,000 guaranteed prize pool and a $109 buy-in. Other events on the schedule for Day 1 include the $15,000 Mini Opening Event with a $16.50 buy-in, and the $15,000 Late Opening Event with a $55 buy-in.

If you’re a high roller the biggest buy-in on the XL Winter Series schedule is the $50,000 High Roller. This event takes place on Tuesday, December 15 and has a $320 buy-in.

There are several different tournament variations available throughout the series. Just a few of them include PKO tournaments, 8-max tournaments, R&A tournaments, and Deepstack tournaments.

The series concludes on December 20 with three main events with varying buy-ins and prize pools.

The cheapest main event is the $15,000 Late Main Event. It has a $5.50 buy-in and a $15,000 guarantee.

In the middle is the $50,000 Mini Main Event. It has a $33 buy-in and a $50,000 guarantee.

The big one is the $500,000 Main Event. This is the largest guaranteed prize pool in the series, and it has a $250 buy-in. If you want a shot at the half a million-dollar prize pool but the holidays has cut into your bankroll and you can’t afford the $250 buy-in, there are other options.
