WSOP.com Signs Deal With The New York Rangers

WSOP.com Signs Deal With The New York RangersThis week, Caesars Interactive Entertainment (CIE) owned gambling website WSOP.com announced it had signed a sponsorship deal with professional ice hockey team The New York Rangers. The move comes a few short months after PartyPoker signed a landmark sponsorship deal with the NHL’s New Jersey Devils and the NBA’s Philadelphia 76ers.
Last week, the iGaming North America (iGNA) Conference in Las Vegas drew attention to the fact the general public was still largely unaware internet gambling was now legal in New Jersey, with Senator Raymond Lesniak blaming a lack of creative marketing efforts by online gambling operators.
Commenting on the new sponsorship deal, Caesars Interactive Entertainment VP of marketing, Michael Staskin, said: “We look forward to being part of the stretch run and educating tri-state area Rangers fans on this exciting new  offering available to both residents and visitors in New Jersey. We will show Rangers and Knicks fans just how easy it is to score from home on WSOP.com and CaesarsCasino.com.”
The latest sponsorship deal between WSOP.com and the New York Rangers is sure to help promote the industry and increase brand awareness for the online poker room as in spite being in the next state along, many New Jersey residents will be able to see WSOP.com signage as they watch Rangers games on TV or travel across the George Washington Bridge on their way to The Big Apple.
Kicking off the partnership, the WSOP.com site has offered any New Jersey residents making a deposit on site entry into a promotional prize draw, and the chance to win match tickets, authentic New York Knicks team jerseys and even a home visit from a former Rangers player. The New York Rangers play out of Madison Square Garden and  commenting on the latest deal between Rangers and the World Series of Poker (WSOP), president of MSG Sports Dave Howard, said:
“We are excited to have the Rangers partner with this brand new category and industry leader WSOP.com to provide our passionate and loyal fans the opportunity to win some very unique experiences and prizes.”
