Rush Street launches BetRivers Poker in Pennsylvania

Pennsylvania Casinos Win a Record $3.3BN in FY 2016/17

Poker players in Pennsylvania have a new place to play following the launch of Rush Street Interactive’s BetRivers Poker in the state.

An online poker site from Rush Street has been expected for awhile now after they purchased Run It Once Poker from Phil Galfon back in 2022. After their initially launch of the rebranded BetRivers Poker in Pennsylvania they are expected to expand into more jurisdictions across the US where online poker is legal and regulated.

According to Rush Street representative, Galfond was still heavily involved in the building and launch of Bet Rivers Poker, including adding input on game design, promotions, and policy decisions.

At launch BetRivers Poker offers several different poker formats including cash games, sit-n-go tournaments, multi-table tournaments, and more. The poker platform is introducing “Dynamic Avatars” which will deliver real-time insights into opponents’ playing styles and decision making. According to Rush Street the avatars will adjust their expressions based on their opponent’s behavior, adding a new intuitive and engaging way to read opponents.

Rush Street is also behind BetRivers branded casinos in Philadelphia, and Pittsburgh. The Poker platform in Pennsylvania will be linked to the brick-and-mortar casinos and offer special promotions and rewards connecting online and live play.

Rush Street also has BetRivers branded casinos in New York and Illinois, but there has been no word on if they will follow with an online launch in Illinois. Online poker has not yet been legalized in the state of New York.
