Mystery Bounty Festival takes over 888poker in March

888poker is launching their latest poker festival this week with the Mystery Bounty Festival beginning on March 17.

The festival is scheduled to run until March 26 with 26 events and more than $1 million in guaranteed prize pools. All events in the festival series will be played as mystery bounty tournaments.

In a mystery bounty tournament once the tournament reaches a specified blind level all players have a mystery bounty placed on them. No one knows how much these bounties are worth, and the total remains unrevealed until a player is eliminated. Bounties will range in size and can be valued as high as 10 percent of the tournament guaranteed prize pool. The last player standing in the tournament also gets to collect the remaining bounty on their head.

The festival kicks off on March 17 with four tournaments on the Day 1 schedule. Three of these include opening day tournaments with varying buy-ins and guarantees. They include:

$11 Mystery Bounty Opening Mini – $12,000 guaranteed
$55 Mystery Bounty Opening Mid – $40,000 guaranteed
$109 Mystery Bounty Opening – $120,000 guaranteed

Also on Day 1 of the festival is the first of multiple Day 1 flights of the Mystery Bounty Main Event. The Main Event has a $215 buy-in and a $300,000 guarantee. Day 1 flights run daily for the first nine days of the festival. Anyone who survives a Day 1 flight will move on to Day 2 which will be played late on March 25, while the final table will be streamed live on March 26.
