Lock Poker Signs Chris ‘moorman1’ Moorman

Back in September 2009, prodigious online pro Chris “Moorman1” Moorman was recruited by DoylesRoom to become the latest member of The Brunson 10.
However, the poker website along with several other brands had its US operation shut down by the FBI in May 2011, with Lock Poker being one of the beneficiaries of the exodus of players.
Lock Poker has continued to expand since then, and has now announced the addition of Chris “Moorman1” Moorman to their growing list of LockPRO ELITE team members.
When it comes to poker talent, UK pro Chris Moorman is right up their at the top having earned an astonishing $7,276,018 playing tournaments online under the screen name ‘moorman1.’
However, recently Chris Moorman has started turning his attentions more and more to the live arena with some incredible results. Moorman has now earned $1,339,052 playing live, with $1,051,466 of that amount coming from his run at WSOP 2011, which saw him finish 2nd in the $10k Six-Handed NL event for $716,282, and 3rd in the $2,500 Six-Handed NL event for $271,800.
Despite recent turmoil in the online poker industry following Black Friday, the 26 year old said he was now looking forward to joining the fast growing site and commented:
“I’m excited to sign for LockPoker and despite all of the negatives in the poker industry as of late, I believe Lock Poker has an incredibly bright future and is doing all the right things necessary to succeed in the current climate.”
In addition to Moorman, Lock Poker announced Nicky “Cod” Meharly” Evans would also be joining the site. The young pro has been playing poker for around 5 years, during which time he has amassed $1,137,247 in online earnings, as well as a further $176,696 playing live.
Moorman and Evans now join LockPro ELITE’s roster of pros, which include such players as Jose “Girah” Macedo, Stevie Devlin, Eric Lynch, Casey Jarzabek, Matt Stout and Brett Jungblut.
Commenting on Lock Poker’s latest signings, CEO Jennifer Larson said: “Chris and Nicky are stars and we are all very excited to welcome them to the Lock Family. Together we will work very hard to provide the best product, support and overall online poker experience worldwide. As we grow our LockPRO team, we get closer to really becoming the best online poker room in the world. Partnering with our players is the true path to success.”
