Intertops Poker Bubble Gum Day, Groundhog Day tournaments

The folks at Intertops Poker are always taking advantage of special days on the calendar to offer a new poker tournament. February is no exception.

In February, Intertops Poker is getting the month started with special tournaments on Groundhog Day and on Bubble Gum Day.

Intertops Groundhog Day special

Groundhog is held annually on February 2, when the groundhog predicts if we’ll be getting an early spring or a long winter. On Groundhog Day, Intertops Poker is running a special Groundhog Day $1,000 Guaranteed Progressive Bounty tournament.

The tournament begins at 7:15 pm ET on February 2. It has a $20 + $2 buy-in and players will start with 2,000 in chips and face six-minute blinds. Late registration will also be offered for the first 90 minutes of the tournament.

If a $22 buy-in is above your poker budget, you an still get into the Groundhog day tournament. Also on February 2 there will be special satellites to the Groundhog Day tournament with a cheap 99 cent buy-in. The tournaments begin at 9:15 am and a new one starts every two hours.

How does Intertops Bubble Gum Day tournament work?

If you’ve never heard about Bubble Gum Day you’re not alone. It was unknown to us before we found out about Intertops Bubble Gum Day tournament. Apparently Bubble Gum Day takes place on February 5 and is a way for schools to raise money for charity by allowing their students to pay money to be able to chew gum in class. That must be how all that chewing gum ends up on the bottom of desks.

At Intertops Poker, the Bubble Gum Day tournament has a $1,500 guarantee and a $20 + $2 buy-in. Players will start with 4,000 chips and face six-minute blinds.

Just like the Groundhog Day tournament there are also cheap satellites for the Bubble Gum Day tournament. These tournaments have a very affordable 99 cent buy-in. They begin on February 5 at 9:15 am, and a new satellite tournament starts every two hours.
