WPT Online Series coming to partypoker
May 8, 2021 12:54 pmThe World Poker Tour and partypoker are joining forces again later this month with the WPT Online Series.
The poker series runs from May 14 to June 2 at partypoker with 26 events on the schedule with buy-ins ranging from $5.50 to $3,200. That should accommodate any poker budget, but there are also even cheaper satellites and qualifiers available as well to lower the cost.
When does WPT Online Series come to PP?
The big money events at the WPT Online Series are the two Main Events. They include the Mini Main Event with a guaranteed prize pool of $500,000 and the WPT Online Series Main Event with a guaranteed prize pool of $3 million.
The Mini Main has a $500 + $30 buy-in and two opening day flights on Saturday, May 15 and Sunday, May 16. Both opening day flights begin at 11:10 p.m. Survivors from the two opening day flights will come together for Day 2 on Monday, May 17. The winner of the Mini Main Event will be crowed on Wednesday, May 19 when they play down from the final table.
If you can’t afford the $530 buy-in for the Mini Main Event you can earn your way in through the Mini Main Event Satellite Tree. It only costs $0.01 to enter Phase 1 of the Satellite tree. Play well and you can advance to Phase 2. There are three phases to conquer to win a seat in the Mini Main Event. You can also pay more to buy-in directly to the higher phases.
The WPT Online Series Main Event has a $3000 + $200 buy-in and also has two opening day flights scheduled for Sunday, May 23 and Monday May 24. Both start at 11:10 p.m. Day 2 is scheduled for Monday, May 31, while the final table will be played on Wednesday, June 2.
The Main Event has a few different routes you can take to earn your way in through a satellite qualifier. Getting into Phase 1 of the satellite qualifier is as cheap as $0.01. From there you need to move up to the $3.30 Phase 2 and the $33 Phase 3, to earn a spot in Phase 4 tournaments where 15 Main Event seats are guaranteed to be available. There is no direct buy-in to Phase 4. You have to win your way through in a Phase 3 tournament.
