Dan "djk123" Kelly Joins Brunson 10 After WSOP Event #52 Victory

Dan "djk123" Kelly Joins Brunson 10 After WSOP Event #52 VictoryDan “djk123” Kelly has just been signed up as the newest member of the Brunson 10, after his victory at WSOP Event #52, $25,000 six-handed no-limit hold ’em on Saturday.
DoylesRoom had announced in advance of the WSOP 2010 that they would be using a points system to scout for additional talent to join their elite group of young players. In the running for the position were Kelly, David “Doc Sands” Sands, Faraz “The-Toilet” Jaka, and Michael “Martine23” Martin.
However, Dan “djk123” Kelly’s WSOP bracelet win in the no-limit hold ’em event meant he jumped ahead of the queue and automatically qualified  for the extra place on the team. The other contenders, though, will still have time to prove themselves in the remaining WSOP events.
Dan Kelly picked up a massive $1,315,518 first place prize for his famous WSOP victory and clearly couldn’t believe his good fortune. Describing his feelings after taking down the prestigious tournament, Kelly said:
“It’s a mixture of being shocked and excited. I definitely thought I could win, or I wouldn’t be playing. But you can’t expect to win a tournament, even if you play perfect. This definitely exceeds my expectations.”
The 21 year-old from  Potomac, Maryland, United States can now look forward to a lucrative sponsorship deal at the popular online poker site. Commenting on their new signing,  DoylesRoom.com spokesperson Julius Maxwell said:
“Doyle Brunson really knows how to pick them. The Brunson 10 is even stronger today with the addition of Kelly and we’re excited to see what all seven members will do in the Main Event.”
Dan “djk123” Kelly now takes his place amongst the other incredibly talented members of the Brunson 10, which include Steve ‘gboro780, Gross  Alex “AJKHoosier1” Kamberis, Zachary “Crazy Zachary” Clark, Amit “amak316” Makhija, Chris “Moorman1” Moorman, and Dani “ansky” Stern.
