Council House Man Wins £2.64 Million From Online Casino
June 15, 2011 8:28 amA 36 year old man is now looking forward to a brighter future after winning a £2.64 million ($4,326,547) jackpot at an online casino recently.
David Robson from Newcastle, England was living with his partner and young daughter in his parent’s council house when he hit the life-changing amount from a 90p bet playing online at Sky Vegas Millionaire’s Club .
However, such was Mr Robson’s disbelief when the £2,642,668 amount flashed up on a big blue screen in front of him that he had to call his father in from the kitchen to confirm what he was seeing. As he explains:
“I started shouting for my dad because I wanted someone to verify what I had seen on the screen. My mam was a bit concerned cause she thought something was wrong but I told her it might be something good.”
As is often the case in such instances of incredible fortune, the lucky winner usually needs to be reassured several times before they accept that the cash is theirs.
In this case, David Robson didn’t sleep a wink that night and only finally accepted his remarkable fate after receiving a congratulatory call from Sky Vegas the following day before then checking his online banking account. It was then that he was left in no doubt as to the monster win.
Father of one David Robson had been working as a Driving Standards Agency analyst for the past 17 years, but his boss was soon taken aback after David called him to tell him the reason why he wouldn’t be coming back to work again.
Mr Robson said he now intends to take a holiday to Canada with his family before deciding what to do with his new found wealth. However, a new house for his family, as well as for his parents is high on the agenda. As David explains:
“I have always fancied a house with a games room, a snooker table and a computer system and to think that is a possibility now is absolutely fabulous.”
