Mississippi Man Wins $3.1m Slots Jackpot In TunicaA Mississippi man is celebrating his life-changing good fortune after winning a slots jackpot at the  Fitz Casino & Hotel in Tunica worth a massive $3,031,092.
On Sunday, Christopher B, a 30 year-old plumber from Southaven, Mississippi, won the incredible amount whilst playing a $5 statewide progressive Wheel of Fortune Double Diamond slot machine. As of yet, the lucky winner hasn’t decided on how he was going to spend the money, but did say he would be celebrating the win with his family at a restaurant at the Fitz called The Steakhouse.
Amazingly, a huge jackpot was won at the Fitz Casino Tunica only last month, when Brunhilde C scooped $8.3 million whilst playing a 25-cent Wheel of Fortune machine at the casino. Commenting on the recent spate of payouts, Rick Casagrande, executive director of marketing for Fitz Casino & Hotel, commented:
“They say lightning never strikes the same place twice. That may be true with lightning strikes, but not for jackpots at the Fitz.”
Furthermore, an additional two slots jackpots were also won in Mississippi during the past month, including Charles Rhodes from Alabama winning $1.5 million on July 2nd at the Hard Rock Casino Biloxi; and Aaron K from Louisiana hitting a $2.1 million jackpot playing at the same casino.
International Game Technology first launched its MegaJackpots progressive slots back in 1986 and has since paid out around $513 million to 403 lucky winners in  Mississippi alone, making it the third most winningest state in the US.
