Massive $974,133 Jackpot Hit At Seminole Hard Rock In Florida
November 16, 2010 10:02 amA massive $974,133 slots jackpot was hit on Sunday afternoon at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Florida.
The lucky winner was a Gainesville woman who, along with her sister and other tourists, were part of a chartered bus group, which included a stop off at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino.
Beulah Brown, 73, had just enjoyed her overnight stay as part of her package trip, when the group were dropped off at the casino at around 10 am. Three hours later and Brown was down to the last $20 of her budgeted $80 when she ended up taking down the incredible $974,133 score.
The Wheel of Fortune is a “wide area” progressive machine and the seven Seminole casinos are all linked to over 300 Native American casinos nationally.
Brown was playing on a 25 cent game when she won the jackpot and even ended up missing her bus back home as the casinos processed and finalised all the details.
However, I’m sure Brown and her sister, Geneva Moore, didn’t mind the wait to much and after she received her winnings the Seminole Hard Rock even arranged and paid for a limo ride for the ladies back home.
Although clearly ecstatic with her life changing slots win, private nurse Beulah Brown doesn’t seem ready to retire quite yet and said:
“You know what. I’m thrilled, but this won’t change anything. I will be at work tomorrow, and I will make sure I put the money to good use.”
Beulah Brown’s $974,133 win comes just days after another lucky lady won $645,819 on the Wheel of Fortune slot machine at the Seminole Casino Coconut Creek. Dora Cheston said she would visit her favourite casino around three to four times a year but was amazed to have hit the jackpot.
“The machine wasn’t making any noise or doing anything. No one around me knew what was going on either. So I pushed the button for an attendant and called my sister on her cell and asked her if I need to spin the wheel again. She said, ‘No! You won that progressive amount!’”
“I said no way! I was in shock. It was like I was in a dream” Cheston said.
