Louisiana Man Hits Slots Jackpot For $2.1m

Louisiana Man Hits Slots Jackpot For $2.1m A Baton Rouge man has been celebrating his incredible fortune after scooping a whopping $2.1 million jackpot while playing the Wheel of Fortune slot machine at the Hard Rock Biloxi in Mississippi. Following his life-changing win the man known only as Aaron K said he is still deciding whether or not to return to his work as a cook onboard a riverboat.
Just after taking down the multi-million slots jackpot, Aaron K immediately called his mother, Barbara, to come to the casino floor because as he explains; “She wouldn’t have believed me if I told her over the phone.”
As Barbara then approached the casino floor she automatically feared her son was in some sort of trouble as he looked ashen and was surrounded by a crowd of people by a slot machine.
“His face was as white as a sheet,” remembered Barbara.
Her apprehension soon gave way to excitement, however, after noticing the Wheel of Fortune slot machine was signaling a jackpot, and a liitle later she had the pleasure of seeing her son presented with an enormous cheque for $2.1 million.
This marks the fourth time a MegaJackpot of more than $1 million has been struck at the Hard Rock Biloxi since the casino opened six years ago. The biggest amount so far won is $14.3 million by a Biloxi man playing the Wheel of Fortune machine back in March 2009, while at the beginning of July an Alabama man also walked away richer to the tune of $1.5 million.
Commenting on the exciting jackpots won by its patrons, Joe Farruggio, senior vice president of gambling operations at Hard Rock, said: “It really raises the level of excitement for everyone. Not just the people that won but the people around that person and even the employees get excited. We like to call them ‘lifetime changing events’ when it’s over $1 million..Wheel of Fortune probably is the greatest slot machine ever invented to date. For such a long time, it’s kept people’s interest.”
