Couple Win €3.6m Slots Jackpot At Parisian Casino

One lucky couple ares celebrating their life-changing good fortune after hitting a €3.6 million slots jackpot whilst playing at the Casino de Royan in Paris at the weekend.
On Friday, August 16th at 18:39pm, the 28 year old Parisian chef and his girlfriend were on the last day of their vacation having already visited the Royan in Charente-Maritime twice before. Inspired to try their luck a third time having seen a man win €500 only a day earlier, the unnamed man placed three tokens worth a total of €1.50 into the progressive jackpot machine which is linked to nearly 300 slots located throughout France.
Soon after he hit the massive multi-million euro jackpot and describing the scene one lady standing nearby, explained: “When I saw the third roller fall in, I knew he had won before he even realized it himself! He then fell into the arms of his girlfriend, who had been playing two machines at that time. It was an amazing evening! I’m delighted for the young couple.”
Originally, the couple said they had planned to pay a quick visit to the casino before heading off to eat pasta at a local restaurant. However, following their incredible fortune the happy couple decided to eat and unwind at the Casino de Royan’s restaurant, instead, having first been cordially invited by the casino. The casino’s director, Hervé Le Cam, also had the opportunity to chat to the winning couple and commenting on the remarkable jackpot win, said:
“It was very moving to see them win, team members cried, customers have all applauded, it was great..He’s a chef in Paris, and he now wants to open up his own restaurant. I think with such a win, it should be suddenly much easier! He and his girlfriend both seem to have good heads on their shoulders, even if they will need a little time to absorb what has just happened to them!”
The huge payout also marks a record for the Casino de Royan, whose previous highest payout was €423,352 back in July 2008.
