How to Play Crazy Pineapple

Pineapple Poker is a derivative of Texas Holdem with a twist making the game a bit more challenging than the original. In the standard version of Hold’em players will receive two hole cards whereas Pineapple Poker allows them to start with three. This game can be played with as few as three players up to eight. There are no wild cards used in either Pineapple or Crazy Pineapple.

How to Play Pineapple Poker

  1. To begin the game each player is required to ante into the pot first.
  2. Once this is done the dealer will deal each player three cards face down.
  3. Players will need to look at their cards and discard one of the three cards. The advantage to receiving a third card is it allows you the ability to receive a better starting hand and can discard the weak card in your hand.
  4. Once everyone has discarded, the first betting round will start with the first player to the dealer’s left.
  5. The dealer will now deal three cards in the center of the table face up. These are the community cards and will be shared with the entire table.
  6. A second betting round takes place again starting with the first person to the left of the dealer.
  7. Following the betting round, the dealer will deal a fourth card face up in the middle of the table, the same as you would in Hold’em in addition to a round of betting once the card is dealt.
  8. The final card is placed face up followed by the final round of betting.
  9. Players will show their hands and the best five card poker hand wins the pot

How to Play Crazy Pineapple

Crazy Pineapple is played in the same manner as Pineapple. Players will still receive three hole cards to start except they won’t have to discard untill after the flop. This gives players the advantage of seeing how their hole cards connect with the board, and can use that as a strategy when it comes to discarding.
